Each client installation of VSocial has a unique URL associated with it. Check with your VSocial Account Manager or Administrator for details. For this example we're using the Acme Industries installation that is located at https://acme-ind.vsocial.com:
VSocial supports two types of logins:
- Email / Password
Setting Up Account for the First Time
When an account is first created for you by your administrator, you will have received an invitation to your email that will look something like this:
Once you click on the "Complete Setup" link, you will be taken to a page where you can set your password:
Here you can set your password by following these rules:
- Minimum 8 Characters
- At least 1 number
- At least 1 letter
- At least 1 special character (e.g. $, #, ^, !, etc...)
Should you attempt to create a password that does not follow these rules, you'll see the following error:
After setting your password, you will be presented with a success message like the following:
You will then be redirected to the login screen where you should then be able to login with your email address and newly created password.
Resetting a Forgotten Password
Should you forget your password, you can easily request a password reset. First, from the login screen, find the "Forgot Password?" link and click it.
Clicking this link will take you to the forgot password page. Here, simply type in the email address that is associated with your account:
After you click on "RESET PASSWORD", you'll be shown a success message informing you that a password reset email will be sent to the email address associated with your account.
Please be sure to check your spam folder if you do not receive this email within a few minutes. (Alternatively, send a support query to firstname.lastname@example.org)
When you receive this email, click on the "Reset my password" link. This will send you to a password reset page that will look like this:
When the password is successfully set, you'll be redirected to the login screen where you'll then be able to log in using the new password.
Linking your Facebook Account to your VSocial Account
You may wish to associate your Facebook account with your VSocial account. This can ease the process of logging in if you access VSocial often.
Once you're logged in, you'll see a "Link to Facebook" near your name at the top of the screen.
When you click it, you'll either need to log into Facebook:
Or accept Facebook's permissions:
Once you click Okay, the page will refresh and you'll then see your Facebook profile picture shown next to your name at the top of the screen.
You'll then be able to log into VSocial using this Facebook account.
Note: VSocial does not store Facebook passwords. Logging into your Facebook account is handled by Facebook and not VSocial.
